Fire damages two classrooms at elementary school in Romblon

Two classrooms at Jose M. Solis Elementary School in Barangay Camandag, Looc, Romblon, were damaged in a fire on Saturday afternoon, October 31.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) received the alarm at around 2:54 p.m., with responding firefighters arriving at the school seven minutes later.

Authorities declared the fire under control at 3:10 p.m. before fully extinguishing it at 3:18 p.m.

The blaze affected an estimated 90 square meters of the school property, according to an official from the Looc Municipal Fire Station.

Looc Mayor Lisette Arboleda expressed relief that no one was hurt in the incident.

The BFP is continuing its investigation to determine what caused the fire.
