Lovi defends Grace Poe
MANILA — Lovi Poe broke her silence and defended her sister, Grace Poe-Llamanzares following issues on her illegibility to run for president in 2016.
In an interview for ABS-CBN, Poe said that the senator should not be judged because of being an adopted daughter of Fernando Poe, Jr.
“People should not judge her because of that or say anything because of that.
A lot of people can relate to her situation hindi ba (right)?
” she said.
The issues came after Navotas City Rep. and United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) interim president Toby Tiangco questioned Poe’s eligibility to be a presidential candidate in the 2016 elections.
Tiangco, meanwhile issued an apology to the Binays and to Grace Poe.
Lovi also said that Poe is still her sister, whether she’s adopted or not.
“Today, she is my sister and at the end of the day she’s a Poe,” the actress added.
