ALLURE – Katseye leader Sophia Laforteza has stepped forward to address Manon’s hiatus, emphasizing that the group is fully supportive while Manon focuses on her well-being.

In an interview with Allure, Sophia explained that because their initial announcement centered on Manon’s health, they feel it’s not their place to rush her.

“We want to give her all the time that she needs, all the space that she needs, and so we don’t want to make any assumptions, set anything in stone… She really deserves that and the door is always open,” she said.

Sophia also acknowledged the fans’ confusion and curiosity, noting that she understands why people are asking for answers since they all love Manon deeply.

Manon officially went on hiatus in February, and while she removed Katseye from her Instagram bio in April, she clarified that she is still in positive communication with her agencies, HYBE and Geffen. She shared a hopeful message stating, “HxG and I are having positive conversations and I feel supported. I’m happy and I’m healthy. I’ll share more soon.”

Katseye debuted in 2023 and are known for their songs, “Gnarly”, “Gabriela”, “Touch”, and “Debut”.
