PNP Sulu headquarters bombed
MANILA — Two explosions in the headquarters of the Philippine National Police in Sulu left 17 people wounded on Friday.
Among those in the wounded list are children and members of the elite Special Action Force (SAF), according to radio reports.
The first explosion was coming from a grenade thrown near a mosque inside Camp Chief Superintendent Julasirim Kasim.
The explosion in Barangay (village) Asturias was reported to have occurred at about 7:30 p.
m.
Following the first explosion, another occurred while policemen were clearing the area affected during the first blast.
Reports indicated that 10 lawmen, three from the SAF were hurt during the second blast.
Police have yet to identify who threw the grenade.
