Mark Lee concludes all activities as member of NCT

SOUTH KOREA – In a statement from SM Entertainment on April 3, 2026, they announced that after a long period of discussion with Mark Lee, they came to the conclusion that he will be concluding his exclusive contract as a member of NCT (including NCT 127 and NCT DREAM). This will be the wrap-up of his journey with SM Entertainment and NCT, which began with his debut in 2016.

“We are truly grateful for the time he spent with us, and we wholeheartedly support him as he begins a new chapter in his journey,” SM Entertainment said in their post.

For his part, Mark posted a letter on his private Instagram account, where he thanked his fans for their continuous support and where he put down all of his wishes for the new chapter. “If I had ever done something right to have gained your trust over the last decade, I hope you believe me when I say I’m not doing this just for fun,” he stated. He added that he will never forget the love his fans showed him and that he will work “very very hard” to make it all make sense.

He concluded his message with a “See you,” promising that this is not the end for those looking forward to following his career as an artist.
