An Information Session on the 1734 Murillo Velarde Map
Join us for an engaging discussion on the 1734 Murillo Velarde Map, often called the “Mother of Philippine Maps.” This landmark work of cartography charted the Philippine archipelago and also captured the culture, people, and maritime heritage of the nation.

This event is part of the Embassy of the Philippines in Ottawa’s celebration of Philippine Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) this September, in partnership with the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary 215.1st Division.
