MANILA – Saudi Arabia is opening 265 fully-funded scholarships for Filipino undergraduate and graduate students for Academic Year 2025-2026.
The Saudi Arabian Embassy in Manila said the scholarships are part of the Kingdom’s push to advance its Vision 2030, where international education is at the core.
“The scholarships we are announcing today align with this strategic direction, which reflect the Kingdom’s continued commitment to supporting higher education for Filipino students,” Saudi Arabian Ambassador-designate to the Philippines Faisal Ebraheem Alghamdi said in a statement Wednesday.
These scholarships, he said, would serve as a “strong bridge between the youth” of the two states and are envisioned to strengthen the cultural and intellectual ties of Manila and Riyadh.
The scholarship covers tuition fees for undergraduate and graduate degrees, including financial stipends, accommodation, medical insurance, and annual round-trip air tickets.
It allows eligible Filipinos to study any major, except medicine, in Saudi Arabian universities.
Those interested may submit their applications through the Ministry of Education’s “Study in Saudi” portal at www.studyinsaudi.moe.gov.sa.
The envoy said about 806 Filipino students are enrolled in Saudi universities, studying various courses, reflecting “years of consistent academic collaboration” between the two states.
