During their final press conference, eight-division world champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and five-division world champion and undefeated Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. both stressed that they were ready for their much-awaited boxing match on May 2 (May 3 in the Philippines) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“On [Saturday], Floyd Mayweather faces a great challenge in Manny Pacquiao,” Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe said. “This is the fight the world has been waiting to see.”

Pacquiao, for his part, reaffirmed his preparedness on the superfight.

“I have prepared hard for this fight and I believe Floyd has trained so hard so that we can entertain you on Saturday,” he said.

Mayweather said that it was the time to fight the ‘biggest fight in boxing.’

“It’s time to fight now… You came here to see excitement; you came here to see a great event. That’s what both competitors bring to the table. This is the biggest fight in boxing history,” he said.

Like Mayweather, Pacquiao promised a ‘good fight.’

“Good fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao. It’s going to be a good fight,” he said. “There’s a lot of questions in your minds that only God can answer on Saturday.”

Should Pacquiao win in the megabout, he will be the first to professionally defeat the still undefeated Mayweather.

“I’m going to do my best to help this fight make history,” Pacquiao said.

Mayweather, however, claimed he had ‘five ways to beat’ Pacquiao.

“I feel good I feel strong,” he said.

Rather than trash talk, Pacquiao, who is a devout Christian, referenced God for his strength.

“I just want to let you know that everything I have accomplished, it is God who gave me the strength. I want to be an inspiration to everybody,” he said.

He went on recalling God’s blessings in his life.

“I used to sleep in the street, starving, hungry. The Lord raised me and blessed me. I cannot imagine that boy who didn’t have food and was sleeping in the street — that God gave me this life. I want to share that with everyone,” he added.

Pacquiao and Mayweather will again see each other in the weigh-in on Friday and then in the ring on Saturday.

The Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, billed as The Fight of the Century, is anticipated to reach revenues as high as $400 million, making it the highest-grossing fight in the history of boxing.
