Binay’s ratings dips, 4th in a row

MANILA — Vice President Jejomar Binay’s ratings posted its lowest in the latest survey of pollster Social Weather Stations (SWS).

His ratings dropped for the fourth consecutive time since he assumed office in 2010. The first drop was recorded March 2014 where he posted +73 net satisfaction rating.

The recent survey for 2015 showed Binay’s net satisfaction rating dropping to +31 points, a 13 point drop from last quarter’s +44 rating.

The rating is computed by subtracting the percentage of dissatisfied to the percentage of satisfied.

Satisfied respondents of Binay dropped to 58 percent from December 2014’s 65 percent. while unsatisfied respondents rose to 28 percent from last quarter’s 20 percent.

Meanwhile, public satisfaction rating on leaders of Congress’ chambers continued to rise.

Senate President Franklin Drilon gained an increase on his net satisfaction rating, from December 2014’s +28 rating to March 2015’s +35 rating while House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. also gained an increase, from last quarter’s +11 to +12 rating.

For key government institutions, the Senate and the Supreme Court gained a net satisfaction rating of “good” at +31 and +34 ratings, respectively while the House of Representatives remained at +20 in the latest survey.
