VanDusen Botanical Garden is thrilled to announce the return of Spring Strings on Sunday, May 25, 2025, featuring two showtimes at 12 pm and 4:30 pm on the Great Lawn. After a brief hiatus in 2024, this fan-favourite event is back to delight audiences with an afternoon of contemporary cello music set among the vibrant spring blossoms.

Back by popular demand, Low Strung, the classically trained cello ensemble from Yale University, will captivate audiences with their contemporary renditions of modern hits from artists like The Beatles and Led Zeppelin to Amy Winehouse, Coldplay, and more, reimagined entirely on cellos. Garden admission is included with a Spring Strings ticket, offering guests the opportunity to explore the flourishing 55-acre VanDusen Botanical Garden before each concert.

In addition to the florals in bloom, visitors can also stroll through the fresh floral mannequins of this year’s Fleurs de Villes Downton Abbey exhibit, presented by Oakridge Park. New this year, the 2025 show is included with garden admission or membership.

Late May typically showcases some of the best florals of the season with highlights like the Rhododendron Walk, golden laburnum trees, and violet wisteria. Blending botanical beauty with modern renditions of classical pop and rock songs, the event mirrors the refined setting of a Bridgerton garden party. As with previous years, attendees are welcome to dress in costumes and Regency-era attire.
