Today, Netflix announced FYSEE LA, a two-week citywide festival taking place across Los Angeles to bring the series and talent you love to the city you love. From Saturday, May 17 to Monday, June 2, FYSEE LA will take over theaters and iconic locations across the city – from Santa Monica, Hollywood and Pasadena to Eagle Rock, The Valley, South Central and beyond – inviting voters across LA to celebrate their favorite Emmy contenders through one-of-a-kind events and exclusive conversations.

Emmy Award-winning comedian and talk show host John Mulaney, announced the FYSEE LA festival from the set of Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney.

This Emmy season, FYSEE LA will spotlight acclaimed series, documentaries and animation programs with non-stop events and conversations featuring Adolescence, Squid Game, Nobody Wants This, Black Mirror, The Four Seasons, Simone Biles Rising, Arcane, The Diplomat, and more. 

Stars appearing at FYSEE LA throughout the festival include Kristen Bell, Simone Biles, Adam Brody, Ted Danson, Tina Fey, Paul Giamatti, Jamie Foxx, Kate Hudson, Allison Janney, Rashida Jones, Mindy Kaling, Nick Kroll, Lee Jung-jae, John Mulaney, Aaron Pierre, Keri Russell, Tracee Ellis Ross, Sarah Silverman, and many more. 

Special programming will include events in partnership with American Cinematheque, SAG-AFTRA Foundation and many more, including Career Retrospectives with Adam Brody (Nobody Wants This) and Kate Hudson (Running Point) and an actor’s spotlight with Ted Danson (A Man on the Inside).

Throughout FYSEE LA, Netflix will support local businesses impacted by the wildfires by highlighting restaurants, coffee shops, and florists during the festival, as voters come together to celebrate not only our favorite shows but also our communities. We will proudly celebrate our Los Angeles productions, spotlighting several “Made in LA” series that include FOREVER, A Man on the Inside, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, Nobody Wants This, Running Point, among others.

TV ACADEMY OFFICIAL FYC EVENTS 

TV Academy Official FYC Events featured as part of FYSEE LA include, but are not limited to: 

  • BLACK MIRROR (May 17) – Kick off FYSEE LA with a series of special afternoon conversations with the casts and creative teams behind “Eulogy,” “Common People,” and the first Black Mirror sequel “USS Callister: Into Infinity” at the Television Academy Saban Media Center Wolf Theater.
  • EVERYBODY’S LIVE WITH JOHN MULANEY (May 17) – The laughs continue on opening night, as Emmy Award-winning comedian John Mulaney anchors an evening celebrating the critically-acclaimed talk series at The Egyptian Theater in Hollywood.
  • THE DIPLOMAT (May 18) – Celebrate the sophomore season of the acclaimed drama series with a special event at The Huntington Library in Pasadena with creator Debora Cahn, Keri Russell, Allison Janney and the incredible cast.
  • A NETFLIX DOCUMENTARY SPOTLIGHT (May 18) – Go behind the scenes with the year’s most impactful documentaries. Join the teams from Will & Harper, Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer, Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Kidfluencing and more at  Netflix’s Tudum Theater.
  • THE FOUR SEASONS (May 19) – Join Tina Fey, Will Forte and the cast and creative team of The Four Seasons for an evening of laughs at the Aero Theater in Santa Monica, followed by an oceanside reception.
  • A MAN ON THE INSIDE (May 21) – Ted Danson, Mike Schur and the cast of the heartwarming series will participate in a conversation at the Motion Picture & Television Fund in Woodland Hills.
  • BIG MOUTH (May 22) – Expect big laughs, big feels, and probably a few awkward moments as Nick Kroll and the Big Mouth cast and creators gather at the iconic Egyptian Theatre for a special premiere celebrating the show’s eighth and final season.
  • ADOLESCENCE (May 27) – Stephen Graham, Owen Cooper, the cast and artisans of Adolescence come together to discuss the vitally important, critically acclaimed limited series at the Wolf Theatre at the Saban Media Center.
  • SQUID GAME  (May 30) – Relive the drama and let the new games begin with a special evening featuring Director Hwang, Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun and the rest of the cast and artisans who brought the global phenomenon to life at The Egyptian Theater.
  • RUNNING POINT (May 30, in partnership with Warner Bros. Television) – Cheer on Running Point’s Kate Hudson, Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, David Stassen, Jeanie Buss and the cast and producers for a screening and conversation at the Los Angeles Lakers’ UCLA Health Training Center in El Segundo. 
  • NOBODY WANTS THIS (June 1) – Fall in love all over again and hang out with your favorite Nobody Wants This cast at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and Sciences. Join Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons and Jackie Tohn for a special live podcast taping of The World’s First Podcast, hosted by creator/executive producer/writer Erin Foster and executive producer Sara Foster.
  • SIMONE BILES RISING (June 2) – Join Olympic Gold Medalist Simone Biles on closing night of FYSEE LA on Monday, June 2 for an intimate conversation with director Katie Walsh to discuss the award-winning docu-series at The Hollywood Athletic Club. The Closing Ceremonies of FYSEE LA will feature a special performance by a local gymnastics group. 

MARQUEE MULTI-TITLE EVENTS

Netflix will also host special multi-title events featuring exclusive conversations, celebrations and unforgettable performances you can only find at FYSEE LA. Highlights include the return of Rebels and Rulebreakers, The Music of Netflix, and an inaugural Strong Black Contenders event. 

FYSEE LA will partner with Netflix is a Joke Festival for an all-star night of comedy on Thursday, May 29 at The Comedy Store in Hollywood. The event will include stand-up comedy sets, a can’t-miss live panel conversation with Mike Birbiglia, Michelle Buteau, Andrew Schulz, Tom Segura and Sarah Silverman, followed by a marquee conversation with Jamie Foxx moderated by Corinne Foxx.    

FYSEE LA: HQ AND FYSEE LA: CRAFT CENTRAL 

The FYSEE LA HQ at Netflix’s Tudum Theater will be the ultimate destination for voters to keep up with all the exciting events happening all around town for FYSEE LA, plus photo opps, collectible giveaways and special marathon screenings of your favorite series.

Netflix will also transform its Roma Theater in Hollywood into a dedicated FYSEE LA: Craft Central hub designed to take voters behind-the-scenes of the shows they love. Curated events will include enlightening conversations with acclaimed artisans and custom displays featuring iconic costumes, wigs, props, and much more from American Primeval, Bridgerton, Emily in Paris, The Residence and others.
