Court of Appeals blocks Binay’s suspension order

MANILA – Just a few hours after Makati Vice Mayor Romulo ‘Kid’ Peña was sworn in as acting Makati Mayor, the Court of Appeals issued a 60-day temporary restraining order (TRO) Monday (March 16) versus the preventive suspension order from the Office of the Ombudsman to Mayor Jejomar ‘JunJun’ Binay.

Oral arguments for Binay’s case will be on March 30 and 31, 2015.
