MANILA – Heartthrob singer-actor Sam Concepcion said that a producer’s “failure to fulfill contractual obligations” led to the cancellation of his February 26 concert, which was supposed to have been held at a school in San Miguel, Bulacan.

“I would like to inform the public that my show in Bulacan, which was scheduled last February 26, 2015, did not push through due to the event producer’s failure to fulfill his contractual obligations,” Concepcion said, in a statement sent to “The Buzz.”

“I regret the inconvenience the cancellation may have caused the public in general and my student fans in particular,” he added in the statement.

According to an investigation conducted by “The Buzz,” the show’s producer, a certain Stanley Delos Santos, told the people in Bulacan that he worked for TV network ABS-CBN.

As it turns out, however, the network has no such employee.

“The Buzz” also discovered that not only did Delos Santos fail to coordinate with the authorities in charge of the concert venue; he likewise failed to secure the necessary permits for the event.

Furthermore, the same producer had slated a concert of “The Voice Kids” finalist Darren Espanto, which was supposed to take place before Concepcion’s concert, but this did not push through, either.

“The Buzz” made efforts to obtain Delos Santos’ side regarding the cancellation of the concerts, but was unable to do so.
