“Widows’ War” and “Pulang Araw” Bring High-Stakes Drama and Passion This July on GMA Pinoy TV!

GMA Pinoy TV is sure to enthrall Global Pinoys with the premiere of “Widows’ War” and “Pulang Araw” this July. Blending drama, passion, and intrigue, these upcoming shows promise unforgettable journeys featuring characters fighting for love and survival.
“Widows’ War,” GMA Network’s latest murder mystery drama series, is definitely a must-watch for all viewers. Box-Office Queen Bea Alonzo and Primetime Goddess Carla Abellana play Samantha and Georgina, former best friends who turn against each other following an unfortunate incident that changes their lives forever. Their paths cross once more following the deaths of their husbands, and they become suspects in their murders. As the widows try to clear their names, they uncover a tangled web of lies and deceit. But who is the real sinner or saint? Find out beginning on July 1.
 
“My Mother, My Story” explores the love of mothers and their impact on the lives of their children. King of Talk Boy Abunda sits down with special celebrity guests for emotional and revealing conversations about the pivotal role of their mothers in shaping their identity and forging their own path in life. Premiering on July 29 is “Pulang Araw,” GMA Network’s latest groundbreaking series. The highly anticipated drama is headlined by some of the biggest Kapuso stars: Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza as Adelina, First Lady of Primetime Sanya Lopez as Teresita, Pambansang Ginoo David Licauco as Hiroshi, and Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards as Eduardo, with Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo in a very special role as Col. Yuta Saito. “Pulang Araw” explores the intertwined lives of four childhood friends whose dreams, friendships, and loyalties are tested as Japanese forces occupy the country during World War II. Witness heroism unfolds starting on July 29.

Global Pinoy families should also prepare for a rollercoaster ride of laughter with GMA Pinoy Blockbuster’s summer comedy line-up. From seasoned comedy performers to award-winning actors headlining movies guaranteed to tickle funny bones, all viewers have to do is sit back and hold on, lest they roll off their seats with the laugh-a-minute movies!
 
In “Susmaryosep! Four Fathers”, Bobby Andrews, Polo Ravales, Bojo Molina, and Gerald Madrid play four priests dealing with unexpected personal issues. As they navigate their respective situations, curveballs thrown their way result in more hilarity and the much-needed intervention of a higher power. Catch it on July 7.
 
Sharon Cuneta stars in the comedy “Revirginized.” As Carmela, she plays the role of a woman who, shell-shocked from her annulment proceedings, seizes an opportunity to live the life of a carefree woman when she joins a group of young girls at a beach party and meets a hunky tattoo artist named Morph, played by Marco Gumabao. Join Carmela on her adventures on July 14.
 
Comedic complications ensue between an overprotective mother and her daughter in “Mommy Issues.” Comedienne Pokwang plays Ella, a hard-working single mom to Katya, played by Sue Ramirez. Lending further hilarity to Ella and Katya navigating their difficult relationship are Gloria Diaz, Jerome Ponce, and Ryan Bang. Watch it on July 21.
 
And delivering the last laugh in this month’s GMA Pinoy Blockbuster summer comedy line-up is “Boy Tokwa: Lodi ng Gapo.” Starring Jose Manalo in the title role, the movie is based on the true-to-life story of Rodrigo Morelos, a.k.a. Boy Tokwa, who was a notorious con artist and known for his wit and talent in card games in Olongapo. The movie also stars Joey Marquez, Karel Marquez, Allan Paule. Get ready for belly-aching laughter on July 28.
