MANILA – Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Alfredo Pascual on Monday expressed his support to the launch of the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn and Pledge, while also unveiling the agency’s new battle cry.

In his official Facebook account, Pascual said DTI backs the initiative of singing the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn and reciting the Bagong Pilipinas Pledge during flag ceremonies in government offices and public schools.

Last week, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. issued Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 52 directing government offices and public schools “to integrate the recital of the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn and Pledge in the conduct of the weekly flag ceremonies, subject to existing laws, rules and regulations.”

Pascual said this initiative highlights the administration’s commitment to establishing a resilient and principled government dedicated to serving and inspiring every Filipino citizen.

Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., ating isinusulong ang Bagong Pilipinas – isang bansa na may pamahalaan na matatag, matibay ang prinsipyo, at maasahan (Under the leadership of President Marcos Jr., we are promoting the New Philippines –a nation with a stable, principled, and reliable government),” he said.

Our government not only serves but also strives to inspire every Filipino).”

In line with this vision, the DTI also introduced its new slogan: “Angat Negosyo, Asenso Trabaho, Alagang Konsyumer para sa Bagong Pilipinas” (Elevate Business, Advance Jobs, Protect Consumers for a New Philippines) – reflecting its support to fostering a stronger and more prosperous Bagong Pilipinas.

“DTI’s role is vital in shaping a brighter future for our nation. Our vision has never been more explicit: A globally competitive Philippines that is the preferred trading partner and investment destination – fueled by diversified industries, innovation-driven enterprises, empowered consumers, and high-quality job opportunities for all Filipinos,” Pascual said.
