Cebu Pacific to launch Manila-Kaohsiung flights in August
MANILA – Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) will mount flights between Manila and Kaohsiung in Taiwan starting Aug. 16.
The carrier will operate thrice weekly between the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and the Kaohsiung International Airport every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
“We are very excited to launch direct flights to the wonderful city of Kaohsiung,” CEB president Xander Lao said in a statement.
Kaohsiung is CEB’s second route in Taiwan. It flies twice daily to Taipei.
Earlier, the Gokongwei-led airline also announced the expansion of services to and from Thailand by launching direct flights between NAIA and Don Mueang starting July 16.
With the launch of Kaohsiung as the newest destination, passengers will have more affordable options to visit Taiwan, CEB said.
Passengers could avail of a PHP1 one-way base fare, exclusive of fees and surcharges, when they book their tickets from May 30 to June 13, for travel from Aug.
16 to Oct. 25.
