Series to air on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and TV5 beginning May 25

Lead stars of the Viu original adaptation “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim,” Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, candidly opened up about their now iconic “cabinet kissing scene” that went viral on social media recently.

During the official TV poster reveal for “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim,” which will now air on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and TV5, the two said that it took them only one or two takes to accomplish the scene wherein their characters shared an intimate kiss while cooped up in a cabinet.

“Isa or dalawa siguro para doon sa backshot. Ayaw naming mapahiya kaya ginandahan na rin namin ni Direk Chad (Vidanes) para sa viewers,” Paulo revealed.

Kim, on her part, shared that they really felt the pressure to give justice to such an iconic scene in the original K-drama that is why they went all out in putting their own magic twist.

“Siyempre, hindi pa nagsisimula ‘yung ‘Secretary Kim’ ‘yan na ‘yung iniisip na palabas ng fans talaga ng show. Na ‘naku, eto ha, aabangan talaga namin ito kasi very iconic ‘to!’ Na-pressure kami kaya naisip namin na sana hindi natin ma-fail. Sana may maibubuga rin ‘yung Philippine version,” said Kim.

Kim and Paulo also expressed their gratitude with the overwhelming success of “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim,” which consistently trends online every time a new episode is released.

“Overwhelming ‘yung mga nangyayari na ang daming natutuwa at nasisiyahan. I’m very thankful and grateful na mag-two months na rin itong napapanood ng mga tao and hindi nila kami binibitawan. Patuloy silang nakasubaybay sa palabas namin,” said Kim.

Meanwhile, KimPau fans are in for a treat because the tandem will now be seen on TV everyday, including weekends. Viewers can get their daily dose of ‘gigil’ from Victor (Paulo) and Juliana (Kim) every weeknight in “Linlang: The Teleserye Version,” and enjoy ‘kilig’-filled weekends with Secretary Kim (Kim) and BMC (Paulo) in “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” beginning May 25.

“What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim,” from Viu and ABS-CBN Studios and produced by Dreamscape Entertainment, airs every Saturday at 7:15 PM on Kapamilya Channel and A2Z and at 8 PM on TV5, and every Sunday at 7 PM on Kapamilya Channel and A2Z and at 8:15 PM on TV5.
