After the recent birth of her son Sixto, 34-year-old Kapuso actress Marian Rivera has decided to donate her excess breastmilk, with her on-screen partner and real-life husband Dingdong Dantes beaming with pride about his wife’s generosity on Instagram last Wednesday, July 9.

To his 2.6 million followers, Dingdong shares an image of his wife and four-year-old daughter Zia holding the milk, stating, “There are many things I admire about my wife, but one of them that really makes her a superwoman in my eyes is her dedication to breastfeeding. Being a witness to what she went through with Zia, and with what she is providing for Sixto, I know that producing that precious milk is not easy. And because she is blessed with this, I salute her for choosing to donate her excess expressed milk to those who need it the most.”

The actor continues, “Thank you, Maricel, for being that angelic link that would feed infants with all these thousands of milliliters of breast milk, which to me is gold!” referring to a member of “The Milk Sharing Hub,” which is the program that advocates for breast milk donations for the babies whose mothers cannot provide consumable milk.

The Parenting Emporium, a community that gathers parents as an “inclusive, non-judgmental, and safe zone,” also posted on Marian’s donation, sharing, “Baby Mati will be drinking special breastmilk tonight as he tries to grow stronger so his parents can bring him home from the NICU. He was born too early and needs lifesaving breastmilk to combat all the life-threatening conditions of a preemie,” concluding, “His mommy is still working on her supply so thankfully generous donors such as Mommy Marian Rivera. Keep the milk flowing at our TPE Milk Sharing Hub.”

With her donation, Marian works for the Philippine Congress as an Ambassador for Women and Children with Disabilities, supporting public breastfeeding and being awarded the Breastfeeding Influencer and Advocate Award by the Mother and Child Nurses Association of the Philippines last November 25, 2016.
