Armed man takes two hostages in French post office

Parisian authorities confirmed that an armed man is holding two hostages inside a post office in Colombes, an area northwest of Paris on Friday, January 16.

According to reports, several people managed to excape the scene.

 The man is said to have grenades and armed with a Kalashnikov.

The area is now on lockdown and elite forces were already deployed on ground.

Helicopters are also surveying the area.

As of posting, the gunman has no reported links to the Jihadists or Islamic extremists plaguing the French capital the past weeks and has left a total of 17 people dead.
