New York, NY – May 2, 2023 – In celebration of the strength, tenacity, resilience and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders to our communities, Macy’s honors AAPI Heritage Month with a focus on Enduring Culture. Unlimited Potential. As part of the brand’s social purpose platform, Mission Every One, from May 1 through May 31, Macy’s will host a round-up and charitable donation campaign to benefit APIA Scholars. Customers can donate online or round-up their in-store purchase amount and donate the extra change, up to $0.99 to benefit student scholars on their road to future success. Additionally, Macy’s will spotlight Asian-owned brands in-store and online, showcase colleague representation and more in its ongoing commitment to take action to amplify diverse-owned businesses and creators.

In 2022, APIA Scholars was elevated from a local grant partner to a national Macy’s cause campaign partner. Since 2007, Macy’s has raised more than $2.2 million for APIA Scholars, impacting thousands of students through scholarships, emergency funds, and mentorship.

Their continued commitment helps our Scholars, many of whom are first-generation college students and from families at poverty level, overcome financial hurdles to attain higher education.
