NoKor fires 2 ballistic missiles: Japan
TOKYO – Japanese State Minister of Defense Toshiro Ino confirmed that Pyongyang tested two ballistic missiles Sunday morning.
Both missiles covered a distance of 500 kilometers, Ino said during an emergency briefing that was called.
Earlier, Japan Coast Guard reported that North Korea appeared to have carried out a missile launch, firing what appeared to be a ballistic missile.
About 40 minutes later, the Coast Guard issued another warning, urging ships to exercise caution following a suspected ballistic missile test carried out by North Korea.
North Korea has been testing ballistic missiles for most of the second half of 2022, with missiles landing near South Korea and Japan.
