Niagara Regional Police issue Amber Alert for two young girls
TORONTO — Niagara Regional Police in southern Ontario have issued an Amber Alert for two young girls missing since late Friday afternoon.
Police they the girls were abducted by their mother Julia Martinovs, 29, who doesn`t have custody of the children.
The Alert says the girls were driven away from their grandmother`s residence around 5:30 ET Friday afternoon in a silver Ford Edge SUV with an Ontario licence plate of BTEZ798.
The children are Ekaterina Martinovs, 5 and Anastasia Martinovs, 3.
Ekaterina is described as about four-feet tall, skinny, with straight brown shoulder-length hair.
She has brown eyes, gold stud earrings, and was wearing a purple winter jacket, brown leather hat with fur, pink snow pants, white leather boots, a purple knitted cardigan sweater and skirt.
Anastasia is described as three-feet-five inches tall, with a chubby build, short, curly brownish-blonde hair and brown eyes.
She has small scar on left eyebrow, gold stud earrings, pink winter coat, pink snow pants, brown leather hat with fur, white boots with panda bear on them, knitted pink sweater, blue jeans.
Police say they have concern for the safety and welfare of the children.
Anyone who sees them is urged to call 911 immediately.
