Based on the field monitoring reports of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-Bureau of Maintenance, impassable roads as of Monday are in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Regions 1 (Ilocos), 3 (Central Luzon), 4-A (Calabarzon).
The roads rendered impassable by the typhoon are Kennon Road in Benguet which was closed to non-residents for safety reasons.
In Aurora, the Nueva Ecija-Aurora Road section is closed due to landslide and the Concepcion-Lapaz due to fallen electric post.
The Ternate-Nasugbu Road in Cavite is also closed for safety reasons.
The Manila North Road section in Sitio Banquero, Barangay Pancian, Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte is also temporarily closed due to landslide.
DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan said quick response teams have installed warning signs and barricades along the affected road sections.
Clearing operations are also ongoing along sections that are deemed safe. “Karding” starts to move away from Luzon and headed to the West Philippine Sea but Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 remains hoisted in several Luzon areas.
