PBA postpones games due to ‘Karding’
MANILA – The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) has postponed its scheduled Sunday doubleheader as Metro Manila braces for the impact of Super Typhoon Karding.
Meralco is supposed to play NLEX in the first game set at 4:30 p.m., while Ginebra is supposed make its anticipated Commissioner’s Cup debut against Converge at 6:45 p.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
The league later announced that the third leg of the PBA 3×3 season scheduled for Monday and Tuesday at Robinsons Place Antipolo has been called off too.
“Meralco vs. NLEX and Converge vs. Ginebra as well as [the] PBA 3×3 games will be reescheduled to a later date,” the PBA said in a statement.
Antipolo, along with the towns of Rodriguez, Tanay, San Mateo and Baras, has been placed Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 4 as of the 11 a.m. bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
Pasay, on the other hand, has been placed under Signal No. 3 along with the rest of Metro Manila.
“Karding” is forecast to make a landfall along Polillo Islands before crossing through mainland Quezon by nighttime.

Safety first.
