Bulacan spared from Ruby’s wrath
MALOLOS CITY — Tropical storm Ruby did not make any dent and spared the province from its wrath as it swirled into parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila midnight Monday.
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) said that moderate rains with slight winds were felt but it did not brought any flooding, except in low lying villages in the coastal towns of Hagonoy and Obando due to high tide.
As precautionary measure, some 149 families in the coastal towns of Obando, Paombong and Bulakan were temporarily evacuated Monday but has already returned home on Tuesday.
Likewise, the storm also did not make any dent to the water elevation in Angat, Ipo and Bustos dams, according to the latest situation report of the PDRRMO.
As of 6 a.m. Tuesday, the water level at Angat dam was 208.03 meters, which is still two meters below its spilling level of 210 meters.
The water level at Ipo dam was 99.49 meters (spilling level 101 meters) while the water level at Bustos dam was 16.

The PDRRMO also reported that Bustos dam which conducted preemptive release since Friday has closed its 2 sluice gates that released 20 cubic meters per second of water.
Classes in all levels both in public and private schools were still suspended on Tuesday.
