MMDA welcomes Carlo Dimayuga III as acting chair
Dimayuga took his oath of office before Executive Secretary Victor Rodriguez on Wednesday, officially becoming the MMDA’s acting chair.
In a statement, MMDA Flood Control and Sewerage Management Office Director Baltazar Melgar—who was previously the MMDA’s officer-in-charge—welcomed Dimayuga and took note of his previous achievements that would foretell his performance as chief of the MMDA.
“The agency believes that with his instinctive understanding of operations and managerial perspective, he can steer MMDA towards delivering better basic services to the public,” Melgar said.
Among his accomplishments, Dimayuga passed the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination in 1997 after receiving his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Sto. Tomas.
He replaced lawyer Romando Artes who was appointed by former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in March.
