2 killed, 2 hurt as Makati building elevator collapses

In a report, the Southern Police District (SPD) said the incident happened around 2:55 a.m. at the Burgundy Tower along Buendia Avenue in Barangay Pio del Pilar.
The two fatalities were identified as Manuel Linayao and Rey Miguel Gilera, both elevator installers and employees of DLC Contractor.
“The above-mentioned victim/deceased and with two other elevator installers from DLC Contractor Company were fixing an elevator on the sixth floor when suddenly an elevator came from 38th floor accidentally fell to the basement that resulted to the death of herein victims and injured of two others,” the report said.
As of posting, authorities are still investigating the incident.
