Woman in Poland comes ‘back to life’ 11 hours after being declared dead
According to reports from TVP, a Polish local TV channel, a 91-year-old woman came back to life in a morgue in Poland eleven hours after she had been pronounced dead.
The station reported that Janina Kolkiewicz – who had been found unconscious by her family at her home in the eastern Polish town of Ostrow Lubelski – was declared dead by her doctor, and placed in a body bag for delivery to the hospital morgue.
However, eleven hours later, morgue staff observed movement from the body bag, which prompted them to contact Ms Kolkiewicz’s family.
Family members took the woman back home, where she is doing well, the report said.
Circumstances surrounding the incident are now under further investigation.
