Cebu Pacific cancels 6 flights on Dec. 16
MANILA – Cebu Pacific (CEB) has canceled six domestic flights supposedly scheduled on December 16, in anticipation of the possible impact of Severe Tropical Storm Odette.
In an advisory issued late Tuesday, CEB said the following flights have been canceled:
DG 6839/ DG 6840 Manila – Siargao-Manila
DG 6881/ DG 6882 Manila – Surigao-Manila
DG 6851/ DG 6852 Cebu – Siargao-Cebu
“Odette’s” path is expected to traverse the Caraga region and Cebu province. It is expected to bring heavy rains to these areas and nearby provinces.
Affected passengers may rebook their travel within 60 days or opt for a refund. They can also store the ticket value in a virtual CEB wallet.
As of 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, no other local carrier has announced any flight cancellation due to “Odette”.
The storm is forecast to make landfall in the vicinity of Caraga or Eastern Visayas on Thursday.
It may also intensify into a typhoon and may reach a peak intensity of 155 kph before making landfall, according to the weather bureau.
