MANILA – Malacanang has welcomed a Social Weather Station (SWS) survey showing nine of 10 Filipinos or 93 percent are hopeful that areas ravaged by super typhoon Yolanda will fully recover.

”The result of the survey gives inspiration to the government to intensify more the fast and effective implementation of CRRP for the good and welfare of everybody affected in the Yolanda Corregidor,” Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Herminio Coloma said on Sunday in a Radyo ng Bayan interview.

CRRP stands for Yolanda Comprehensive Rehabilitation and Recovery Plan (CRRP) formed by the Office of the Presidential Assistant for Rehabilitation and Recovery (OPARR).

The same SWS survey said 58 percent have expressed high hope that the badly hit areas will be fully recovered within four years.

”This (58 percent) conformed to the timeline of the implementation of the Php167.9 billion Yolanda CRRP,” Coloma said.

Coloma said under the CRRP, the program, project and activities (PPA) will be divided into three: short-term, medium-term and long term.

”The short-term is set to be finished before the year ends while the medium-term PPA worth Php1192 billion will be finished in 2015 and 2016 and the long term will be started after 2016,” the Palace official said.

Yolanda , with international name Haiyan, devastated the Visayas and parts of Luzon on Nov.

8 last year, leaving behind more than 6,000 people dead and over 1,000 still missing.
