Manila looking for more contact tracers
MANILA – As the capital city Manila tallied 253 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, it released an announcement for the hiring of more contact tracers.
The city’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) posted on Tuesday that it is hiring from the Department of Labor and Employment-Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa ating Disadvantaged/Displaced worker (DOLE-TUPAD) contact tracers.
Those interested may register through a link that can be found at https://www.facebook.com/pesocityofmanila/.
After registration, a PESO facilitator will confirm the application before asking for the following requirements: personal data sheet with two 2×2 photos, original copy of barangay certificate for employment, medical certificate with antigen, urinalysis, complete blood count and X-ray results, photocopy of valid identification card with ID number, a completed TUPAD form, and letter of intent.
School ID and National Bureau of Investigation clearance will not be accepted as identification documents.
Applicants should be a resident of Manila, between 18 and 59 years old, and has not availed of the TUPAD program yet.
As of noon on Tuesday, Manila has 1,672 active Covid-19 cases and 304 new recoveries.
Sampaloc has the highest number of active cases with 366, followed by Tondo 1 with 247, and Tondo 2 with 206.
