MANILA – Vice President Jejomar Binay’s daughter withdraws the bill she filed seeking to transfer control of the 57.7-hectare property on Mt. Makiling from the University of the Philippines Los Baños to the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP).

04325 was because officials of the UPLB offered a different site to the BSP.

“During the committee hearing [in the] 15th Congress, the bill was withdrawn because I was informed by J.R. Pangilinan that UPLB was offering a different site so there was no need to pursue the bill,” Binay said through her father’s spokesman, Joey Salgado.

The statement was made following several sources’ allegations that Vice President Binay attempted to acquire full control of the Mt.
