“Here Lies Love” cast earns UK critics’ praise

MANILA – British critics showed their love and respect for “Here Lies Love,” which moved from New York to London recently.

The musical which stars Mark Bautista as Ferdinand Marcos, Natalie Mendoza as Imelda Marcos, and Gia Macuja-Atchison as Estrella Cumpas, has been receiving numerous praises.

The Hollywood Reported labelled the cast as “4-carat party people.

” It also noted that Atchison’s “When She Passed By” as a standout.

Meanwhile, Britishtheatre.com called Bautista “surprisingly sexy” and Mendoza “wonderful.” The website also said that Atchison’s voice is “glorious … expressive, haunting, stuffed with clarity and meaning.
