MANILA – Freddie Roach believes that boxing champ Manny Pacquiao is still at the top of his game the moment he stepped into the ring for his first mitts session.

Roach added that Pacquiao’s skills and reflexes are still sharp.

“No slippage, not even a bit,” Roach said after working out with the eight-division world champion on Monday afternoon at Pacman Wild Card Gym.

Thus, they have a deep familiarization with each other. As a matter of fact, Roach treats the boxing icon like his son.

In preparation for the showdown against Algiera, Roach said that 90 rounds as opposed to 150 rounds of sparring will be enough to get Pacquiao into the groove.

According to the six-time Trainer of the Year, all that Pacquaio needs is to “find his range and timing.
