PH Covid-19 recovery rate reaches 90.9%: DOH
MANILA – The Philippines’ recovery rate from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic has reached 90.9 percent on Saturday after recording 146 new recoveries.
The Department of Health (DOH) said a total of 475,904 individuals already recovered from the disease.
Meanwhile, 2,109 new cases raised the total number of active Covid-19 cases to 36,943.
The country so far has a total of 523,516 Covid-19 cases.
The DOH said 85.2 percent of the active cases are considered to be mild, 9.7 percent are asymptomatic, 2.6 percent are critical, 2.1 percent are severe, and 0.44 percent are moderate.
It added that there are enough health facilities to care for Covid-19 patients.
Intensive care unit (ICU) beds in the country have a 58-percent availability.
Meanwhile, 66 percent of the isolation beds are still available, ward beds have a total of 74 percent availability, while ventilators have 78 percent availability.
The DOH also reported 71 new deaths bringing to 10,669 individuals or 2.04 percent of the number of patients who have died of Covid-19.
