DOH registers Covid-19 recoveries at 91.2% rate

MANILA – The percentage rate of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) recoveries in the country is now at 91.2 percent, according to the Department of Health (DOH).

As of Saturday, the DOH said the total number of recoveries from Covid-19 is now at 399,582. This after recording 133 new recoveries.

The DOH Covid-19 bulletin also reflects 1,733 new confirmed cases bringing to 29,961 the total number of active cases which is at 6.8 percent.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in the country is 438,069.

Of the active cases, Davao City has the most number of new cases among all the provinces and cities in the country at 162.

Quezon City came next with 92, Benguet with 80, the province of Rizal with 70, and Laguna with 66.

DOH said 86 percent of the active Covid-19 cases are considered mild, 6.

7 percent are asymptomatic, 4.6 percent are critical, 2.4 percent are severe and 0.27 percent are moderate.

However, there are also reported 17 new deaths due to Covid-19. The total number of deaths is 8,526 or 1.95 percent.

Covid-19 bed-capacity in hospitals is up with 59 percent available in the intensive care unit (ICU).

Isolation beds availability is at 61 percent, ward beds have 71 percent availability while ventilators have 79 percent availability.

With the data on hand, the DOH reminds the public not to be complacent and to keep following the minimum health safety protocols being imposed.
