Actress Bettinna Carlos married Mikki Eduardo on Wednesday, December 2. But the night before this special day happened, Mikki “proposed” to another important girl in his life, the actress’s daughter, Gummy.

Sharing photos of the event on December 1, Bettinna said Mikki asked Gummy if she will “allow him to be her father and raise her up to the fear and knowledge of the Lord.” The actress’s daughter accepted the proposal of Mikki, who was seen in the photos happily putting a ring on Gummy’s ring finger and then hugging her.

With Mikki receiving a ‘yes’ from Gummy, Bettinna said her “secret prayer” has been answered.

“I asked God to confirm that if Mikki really is His best for us that he would give Gummy a ring too,” she wrote in the caption.

“After all he is not just marrying me but her as well. God heard and heeded my prayer. Hallelujah!” she added.

Mikki, meanwhile, said that he was more nervous proposing to Gummy than to his wife, saying that he “had no exact words to say” to the actress’s daughter although, he said, there were guides or templates on the internet.

“What gave me comfort are the words of God in Rev 3:20 ‘Here I am! I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears my voice, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me,'” he said.

“[I] was reminded that even if Jesus is Lord, He doesn’t force himself on people’s lives. God asks if we want Him as our own Father in our lives,” he stressed.

Bettinna and Mikki exchanged vows in a wedding ceremony held in Tagaytay, nearly two months after they got engaged. The actress earlier said, “For some reason I knew in my heart I was going to get married this year…. BUT I did not expect it to be TWICE and on the same day. Thankfully to the same man.”
