Live Your Best Version!

Do yourself a huge favour — don’t live a life of mimicry! The best way to live your life is to reveal your best version. Don’t let others box you into their idea of what they think you should be. A constricted identity is a miserable way to exist. Be yourself and live free. Have faith and trust that in living true to yourself, you will attract people that support, encourage, and love you — just as you are.
When you are not being true to yourself — life becomes exhausting! You don’t want that.
Granted that it’s not always easy being ourselves; but part of that stems from learning to love and respect ourselves just as we are. Try to learn to be what you are and learn to accept yourself for who you truly are. We won’t always have control over what other people think of us.
However, we can always control our reactions and our outlook in our lives.
We have the power to control our attitude toward what happens to our lives. We must learn the art of not giving a f*ck! When we learn to do that, our lives become easier to live with!
Here are ways to learn to live your best version:

Let go of your baggage and failures. There comes a point in all of our lives where we need to let go. We need to let go of the past: the unmet expectations, the hurt, hopes, failures, loss, and dreams. It is a healthy way to move on. We cannot possibly continue to move forward in our own lives if we are constantly holding on to that bar from our past.

Be the master of your own mindset. What we believe affects what we achieve. It is important to have a positive mindset. Our mindsets set the tone for our entire lives. If we believe we can have something, we will definitely have it. It is an important tool that affects our daily self-dialogue and reinforces our most intimate beliefs, attitudes, and feelings about ourselves.

Focus on self-care and self-growth. Self-care encourages you to maintain a healthy relationship with yourself so that you can transmit the good feelings to others. You cannot give to others what you don’t have yourself. While some may misconstrue self-care as selfish, it’s far from that. On the other hand, self-growth lets you identify your personal strengths and play on them. From relationships to careers — knowing your strengths is important for every sphere of your life. It gives you a better perception of what you are seeking in life. It gives you a better understanding of where you are likely to excel, succeed, and thrive.

Avoid negativity and gossip. While we have the power to control our own emotions and alter our moods, it’s clear that external factors can create a negative environment and dampen our state of minds. It’s important to avoid negative people with negative energy. They don’t add anything of value to your lives. They only subtract from your lives and suck your energies. It’s a must that you carefully choose who you surround yourself with. Avoid gossiping. Only small-minded people gossip about others. If you gossip, people assume you talk about them too when they’re not around. So they don’t trust you. Gossip drags a relationship through the mud, soiling it and debasing it. Gossip destroys trust and kills relationships.

Think big and visualize what you want in your life. Our minds have the capacity to prioritize what is important and what is not important in our lives. When you think big, you have the ability to come up with ideas, solutions, and opportunities. Big thinkers see opportunities and jump on possibilities. Visualization is a powerful tool to have in our lives. It prepares our mind for any action before it actually happens. We need to see what we want in our lives in order to achieve these. Visualization stimulates the creative subconscious which helps to generate new ideas to better achieve ambitions.

Try new challenges. Don’t allow yourself to be complacent. Kick things up a notch by taking up new challenges. Push yourself outside your comfort zone. When we take up new challenges that stretch us and give us new opportunities to be ourselves — we end up living our authentic lives. We no longer feel the fear — but rather — it allows us to face and confront our fears. We embrace challenges as wonderful opportunities.

Never stop learning! Life-long learning helps to broaden horizons and encourage self-development. It boosts self-confidence. It helps fight boredom and sharpens our minds and keep our brain healthy.

Stay real. This is the best thing you could do to yourself! When you are being true to yourself, you are completely honest with what you feel, deeply value, and desire. It also means communicating your feelings wholeheartedly both with yourself and others, allowing your truth to flow through you and into the world.

Be passionate and compassionate. Passion is the real driving force behind every success. It is the positive motivating energy that keeps us going, that keeps us filled with meaning, happiness, excitement, and anticipation. Studies show that that people who are kind and compassionate are more satisfied with their lives, have better physical and mental health, and have stronger relationships. People who live with passion and compassion tend to live happier and longer lives!

Be resilient and persistent. To succeed in life, it is a must that we have the ability to be able to recover from setbacks, adapt well to change, and keep going in the face of adversity. Resilience enables us to develop mechanisms for protection against experiences which could be overwhelming, it helps us to maintain balance in our lives during difficult or stressful periods and can also protect us from the development of some mental health difficulties and issues. It is important to be persistent because it is one of the biggest keys to success. It means that we keep moving forward even when we feel like quitting. Many people give up on their dreams at the first sign of opposition or misfortune. Remember this: nothing in life worth achieving ever comes easily.

Own up to your actions and decisions! Be accountable and responsible for your actions and
decisions. Own up to your mistakes and learn from it. Do not blame others for your failures. It is a must that we take responsibility for our decisions in life. It makes us stronger and more action-oriented individuals. We must accept the fact that we are ultimately in charge of what goes on in our lives.

Be open to changes. Live your life with an open heart and an even more open mind. Learn to be flexible and adaptable. It’s healthy for us to accept changes in our lives because we get to experience more. Change is always beneficial because we have the chance to embrace new perspectives and opportunities. Let this sink in: When you look back on your life, all of the really amazing things are because of a new experience you had.
We are never too old, too young, too early, too late — to push ourselves to experiences we’ve never experienced before. We must always strive to push ourselves past our own borders in life. TODAY more than ever is the best time to live your best version!
