Some may be fed up with the talk of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) blasting in all platforms but it is inevitable when this pandemic has definitely forced everyone to adapt and think of different ways to cope and survive. This includes celebrities like Sam Concepcion who turn to different things other than their lives as performers.

The entertainment industry is undergoing several major developments starting from the health protocols affecting productions and financial setbacks that have delayed and canceled projects. All these were caused by the virus but in the midst of this was also the shutdown of industry giant, ABS-CBN.

Despite this, thanks to online platforms, fans are still up to date with their favorite celebrities’ lives. These posts and stories have shown that lot are starting their entrepreneur journeys, while some are also looking into farming. For Concepcion, he said that he is thankful that most of his activities these days are still music-related.

“Luckily the bulk of the work that I’m doing now are more like live shows, private corporate events and stuff like that but it’s still all music-related. I’m still taping,” he said at the media launch for the new single “Rise” by Tarsier Records; a collaboration between him, Iñigo Pascual, Zee Avi, Vince Nantes, Moophs, and Eric Bellinger.

However, he also revealed another thing that he has been up to but is not really leaning to music.

“There’s one thing that’s kind of different that I am trying out. I’m teaching kids acting,” Concepcion shared.

According to the 27-year-old, this “gig” is done wholly online.

“That’s a different thing that I had to go back to and relearn how to teach acting,” the singer who also delved into acting, added.

Aside from his mentioned musical performances, Concepcion is also part of the HBO Asia series “Halfworlds.” Before the pandemic, he just returned to theater after 10 years through the musical “Joseph the Dreamer.”
