Screwy Sunday kicks off the restoration of the 102-year old Interurban Tramcar 1220. The event offers an opportunity for participants to remove one of hundreds of contemporary flathead screws which is an important part of the initial restoration process. Participants will then be allowed to take home the screw as a souvenir of the day, complete with a commemorative tag describing where the screw came from.

Visitors will be provided with a screwdriver and volunteers will be on hand to assist. Screws are located at different heights on the sides of the tramcar allowing all ages to participate. Children can also have fun making tram-related crafts. Information about how to volunteer will also be available on the day for those who want to learn more about the restoration process.
