Comedienne Kakai Bautista was elated to share on Friday, September 11, that she “graduated from COVID University.”
All smiles in a video of her while having Michael Buble’s “Feeling Good” as her background music, Bautista said in her Instagram post that she tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) but was asymptomatic, and on her 14th day, she underwent another test and the result turned out negative this time.
“THANK YOU LORD,” were the first words she said as her reaction to her health update, adding that she wants the public to be more aware of COVID-19 that’s why she decided to share the news with them.
The comedienne recalled that there were only two things she had in mind after learning that she got infected.
First, she told the Lord that “hindi pa ako pwedeng mamatay kase mababawasan ng maganda ang mundo (I cannot die yet because beautiful people in the world will be lessened),” and second, “Lord, I surrender everything to you.” After praying, Bautista said she felt fine.
“Covid is not a Joke. OO, sakit sya, virus sya. Pero mas PARANG ikamamatay mo ang FEAR AND ANXIETY ‘pag nagkaroon ka (Yes, it is a disease, [it is caused by] a virus. But fear and anxiety are more likely to be the cause of your death once you contracted it),” she said.
“NagpakaNormal ako, dahil alam kong mas magkakasakit ako kapag HINDI ako umayos sa isip at sa gawa (I acted normal because I know I won’t get better if I do not come to my senses),” she added.
Bautista said she will be sharing further details about her battle with COVID-19 in her vlog soon.
Beating the virus, Bautista cheered up others who are also fighting COVID-19, saying that all these struggles will soon end and that people should keep holding on because there is ‘hope’ and they have ‘faith.’
“Isa lang ang dapat positive (There should only be one thing that is positive) — MINDSET,” she said.
In a series of Instagram stories, Bautista thanked those who sent her heartening messages and advised the public to take good care of their health.
“Wala talagang exemption eh. Ke maingat ka or hindi ka maingat, lahat tayo pwedeng magkaroon ng COVID (There is really no exemption. Whether you are careful or not, all of us can acquire COVID),” she told them.
