I was 11 years old when ABS-CBN gave me a chance. I remember walking into the audition and meeting AJ for the first time, we talked for a bit (little did I know I was talking to my first and future loveteam) then I was called in to share my “talent”. I sang Sana by Nikki Gil from the Coke commercial during that time and did a cheerleading routine for my “dance” part 😅 I was just a little girl from Subic Bay fighting for a dream in the big city- I hd no idea during that time that that said dream would eventually come true. ABS-CBN invested and trained me into the actress that I am today and opened the door to so many opportunities. I will forever be grateful to everything that was given to me because of this break and it breaks my heart to see thousands of employees suffer during this time. My heart is with you ❤️ Now, more than ever, its important to use our voices to fight for what is right! No network wars now, just justice. Btw, this was my first ever photoshoot with ABSCBN. How time flies. #LabanKapamilya #IbalikAngABSCBN

In an industry where rivalry between networks exist, Lauren Young proves that one can still support “what is right” in these times.

Lauren, whose home is now in the Kapuso network, did not forget her Kapamilya roots.

“You should never forget where you come from. I owe my career to ABS-CBN for giving me a chance and training me. Everything I learned there I was able to bring apply to my work in GMA,” is what the actress tweeted out of gratitude to the network, using the hashtags #IbalikAngABSCBN and #LabanKapamilya.

In addition to this, through an Instagram post, Lauren also looked back to when she was still 11 years old. She recalled meeting the late AJ Perez whom “little did I know I was talking to my first and future loveteam.” She and AJ were part of the Star Magic Batch 13.

“I was just a little girl from Subic Bay fighting for a dream in the big city. I had no idea during that time that that said dream would eventually come true,” she wrote, adding that ABS-CBN invested in her and trained her to be the actress that she is today.

This opened many more opportunities for her, which is why “it breaks my heart to see thousands of employees suffer during this time.”

“My heart is with you,” she emphasized, saying no to “network wars” for now and “just justice.”

“Now, more than ever, it’s important to use our voices to fight for what is right!” Lauren wrote.

ABS-CBN is currently fighting for its franchise renewal through several Congress hearings after the National Telecommunications Commission’s (NTC) cease and desist orders that stopped its operations.
