6 PH Films included in French Fest
MANILA — Six Filipino films are included in the 12th Festival International Signes de Nuit in Paris, according to curator Axel Estein.
Slated on September 15 to 21, three Filipino documentaries – Anna Isabelle Matutina’s “Magdalena,” Kiri Dalena’s “Tungkung Langit,” and Adjani Arumpac’s “War is a Tender Thing,” – will be shown during the film fest.
The said documentaries were produced in cooperation with Goethe Institut and the French embassy in the Philippines.
The other films included in the festival include Mikahail Red’s “Innocence,” Edward Salcedo’s “Kawal,” and Adi Bontuyan’s “Taya.
”
The films were selected because of their “strong social, political, human rights and environmental” themes, shared Estein.
