The following PPE were composed of sterile and disposable protective suits, medical goggles, KN95 masks, surgical masks, medical gloves, protective gowns, head covers, surgical caps, and shoe covers,” he added.

Galang said the PAF is currently on its ninth tranche of continuous flights until the completion of the 1 million PPE sets.

“As a standard operating procedure, PAF medical teams and the Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Explosives personnel from 710th Special Operations Wing were present during the arrival of (these aircraft), ensuring that all cargoes and personnel present during the said activity underwent preventive disinfection and decontamination process,” he added.

Galang also said that pilots and crew in these missions are dedicated to ensuring that essential medical supplies and other equipment are successfully transported.

“Undoubtedly, their sacrifices are a clear manifestation that the welfare of the Filipinos is their first priority,” he added.
