UST, Cebu Institute of Medicine top physician board exams

MANILA — University of Santo Tomas (UST) and Cebu Institute of Medicine shared the top spot in the Physician Licensure Examination this year.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 2,218 out of 2,730 passed the examination given by the Board of Medicine in Manila, Cebu, and Davao cities last August.

Aside from UST and Cebu Institute of Medicine, the other schools that got at least 80% passing rate include University of the Philippines-Manila, Ateneo de Manila University School of Medicine and Public Health Pasig, University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, West Visayas State University-La Paz, Cebu Doctors University-College of Medicine, Davao Medical School Foundation, Saint Louis University, Mindanao State University-Marawi City, Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, and De La Salle University-Health Science Institute.

For the board passers, the registration for the issuance of their Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration is scheduled onSeptember 11, 12, 15 and 16.

Those who will register will need to submit the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps, 1 short brown envelope with name and professions, registration fee of P600, annual registration fee of P450.
