As fire engulfs warehouse in Pandacan, part of Skyway Stage 3 collapses

A part of the Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 collapsed, as fire hit a warehouse nearby in Pandacan, Manila on Saturday, February 1.
“It’s a portion of Skyway Stage 3 parapet that was damaged,” Skyway Corporate Communications head Marlene Ochoa said.
“Stage 3 is still under construction and therefore, not operational. We are still assessing the extent of damage,” she added.
According to reports, this was due to the fire which broke out at a plastic warehouse of the San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corporation, located in Tomas Claudio Street, at around 10 a.
m., and reached the Task Force Bravo at around 11 a.
m.
It was at 1:52 when the fire was put under control and finally declared out at 2:52 p.
m.
No casualties were reported.
Once done, the Skyway stage 3 will serve as the connector of the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).
