No work in all courts on Dec. 23: SC

MANILA — Chief Justice Diosdado M. Peralta has announced work suspension in all courts in the country on Monday.

Peralta signed Memorandum Order 90-2019 dated December 16 declaring work suspension in the judiciary on December 23.

Peralta said a skeletal team will, however, remain on duty at the SC en banc and division clerks of court, Judicial Records Office, Fiscal Management and Division, Office of the Administrative Services of the Court Administrator.

Similarly, a skeletal team should also be on duty, Peralta said, at the Court of Appeals, Sandiganbayan, Court of Appeals and all first-level and second-level courts.

Officials and employees who will render service on the said date shall be entitled to a one-day compensatory time-off.

December 24 (Christmas Eve) and 25 (Christmas Day) are declared as special non-working day and regular holiday, respectively.
