MANILA — The Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (Phisgoc) assured Filipinos that the hosting of the 30th SEA Games will become successful despite the early challenges.

“The organizing committee remains focused on ensuring the success of the Philippine hosting of the 30th SEA Games, and assures the public that all government regulations have been observed in this great endeavor,” it said in a statement on Thursday.

Although things went relatively smooth on Day 5, the concern that more problems could arise after the early loopholes remains, including probes that could take place right after the end of the event on Dec.

“Our chairman (House Speaker Alan Cayetano) has declared numerous times that we are willing to participate in any form of investigation on the 30th SEA Games after its conclusion,” the statement added.

The Phisgoc will also look into the erroneous reports about the biennial games that sprawled out during the past few days.
