MANILA – Following earlier reports that the Aquino sisters have raised their go signal for Vice President Jejomar Binay’s candidacy in 2016, President Aquino clarified that their statement never meant to endorse anyone.

“The gist of their statement was, ‘If he can continue what our brother started, then thank you, that would be good,’ which is not exactly the same as you should continue,” Aquino clarified.

Aquino made the statement after several reports about his sisters expressing their support for Binay’s candidacy, have been released.

“They were asked to react on a statement that there should be someone who should continue the reforms we started,” the President said.
