The festival will be presented in October 2019 featuring filmed stories of successful cooperatives and its members in the Philippines.
“We have a lot of them and they are not known therefore must be put in the spotlight. Cooperatives have a lot of benefits and that is the reason why we have to reach out to the public, and that is through this film festival,” CDA chairman Orlando Ravanera said in an interview.
The initiative is a part of the communication and advocacy program of the agency to bring awareness to the public the vital role of cooperatives in nation-building and social transformation.
The future CDA event was soft-launched during the KoopBalitaan at the agency’s office in Quezon City where representatives of 29 cooperatives were present to celebrate the International Day of Cooperatives.
